    What Is Safe Dog Training?

    Last updated 7 days ago

Dogs love playing with their owners and owners love playing with their dogs. If your family is preparing to welcome a puppy, make sure you start a loving and trusting bond by researching training techniques. When you start training early, your puppy has an easier time understanding which behaviors are good and which ones should be avoided.

Here at StayDog Invisible Fence®, we offer our exclusive Safe Dog® program to help families train their dogs the right way and promote life-long benefits. Our Safe Dog Training program has been approved by many dog trainers, veterinarians, and behaviorists. That’s because we’ve created a humane, safe, and effective way to teach dogs good behavior and decrease the impulse to act out.

You can learn more about the benefits of the Safe Dog Training program by contacting StayDog Invisible Fence® today. Take a look at our website or call us at (484) 324-6160 for more information about the advantages of choosing our products and training programs.

Strategies You Can Use to Control Your Dog's Biting

    Last updated 12 days ago

Dogs make great friends, companions, and guardians for family members of all ages, but new dogs may not know how to properly interact with people. Training and installing a dog fence are simple ways to promote good behavior and stop bad behavior. These strategies can also help control a dog’s biting:

    Start Training Early
The best way to keep your dog from biting is to start training him as early as possible. Puppies should start learning about proper behavior as soon as they are welcomed into a new home. Your family can enroll in training classes or find training resources to help you learn the right tools to control a dog’s biting.

    Show Pain
Dogs do not always understand words but they do understand a human’s tone and body language. If your dog bites you, let him know that it hurts. Make a yelping noise when your dog bites you to show him that you are in pain and that his behavior is not acceptable.

Keep Chew Toys around the House
Biting is a form of playing for some dogs. Keeping a steady supply of chew toys around the house helps your dog learn that toys, not humans, are for biting. Distract your dog with a chew toy if he starts biting you and soon he will learn to only bite toys.

    Use Positive Reinforcement
It is important to reward your dog when he behaves well so he may continue this good behavior. Reward your pup with treats or belly rubs when he displays obedience and abstains from biting family members.

    Set Boundaries
Investing in an Invisible Fence® is an easy way to teach your dog boundaries and prevent him from biting guests and passers-by. This will also keep your dog safe and secure when family members are not home.

StayDog Invisible Fence® makes it easy to protect and train your family’s pet. Schedule your free in-home consultation to learn more about how our invisible fences work for both dogs and cats. Take a closer look at our products by visiting our website or calling us at (484) 324-6160.
